Description

This Springfield M1D sniper rifle which contains all the accessories including original cheekpad, sling & combination tool. This rifle came from the CMP & has a perfect September 1952 dated barrel. The receiver was made at Springfield Armory in July 1943 & then it was subsequently converted to an M1D at Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) & then packed-up for long term storage. It was sold through the CMP in March 1999, but the owner did not unpack the rifle the entire time he owned it. It was unpacked, assembled & test fired last month for the first time since it was converted to an M1D at Tooele. The cost of shipping is included in the ending price of this auction.
